All of our projects begin with an initial in-home/on-site consultation to determine the steps necessary to transform your space into something unique and personally yours.

Our consultations help clients.  We can help you avoid costly mistakes.  We provide a skillful eye as to how things should be done, help you avoid paying or overpaying for work needlessly, and work to ensure a quality finished product.

 

The initial consultation is a time to get acquainted with one another and to begin formulating a plan of action for your design project.   You and the designer will:

1. Discuss your design project goals, personal taste and style, time frames, and expectations to outline the necessary changes and steps needed to develop strategies for your space transformations.

2. Tour your home to identify areas you may want to include in your overall design project.   

3. During the consultation, the designer will work with you to provide you with information to help you begin the realization of accomplishing your design project goals. Information, advice, recommendations, and ideas for implementation will be provided that you can immediately put into action (personally) if desired; or you may elect to hire us for your design project. 

4. Depending on your project goals, the consultation may include (but not limited to) recommendations for... 

   • layout and use of furniture and accessories,

   • improving how spaces function,

   • using lighting to enhance design,

   • paint color selections,

   • discussion of budget and time requirements for your project,

   • mixing and matching furniture pieces and styles (old and new),

   • window treatments suggestions --managing the heat and cold,

   • expanding your bank of ideas and more.

5. Do some initial measuring of spaces to be considered in the proposed design project.

6. A written, detailed Design Proposal will be electronically sent to you within five days after the consultation.  This Design Proposal will outline what work is to be done; an estimated number of hours to complete your project; an estimated project cost projection; our design fee; and a required retainer payment for our firm to begin the project.  If you agree to proceed with our firm as your project designer, a "specific" design plan for your project will be developed. 

7. If you desire to work with our firm to implement your design project, we will schedule a time to thoroughly discuss all aspects of how to proceed with the work to be done.

 

Scheduling the Consultation

• A $378 fee for up to a 2-hr consult will be payable prior to scheduling the time of your appointment.  

• To pay this fee, please call or email us for payment options.  After payment is made, we will contact you (within 1-2 days) to set up an appointment date/time. You should be prepared to offer several times/dates for the initial consultation.  You may send us any pictures of your spaces and any ideas you may want to incorporate into your design project.

• If there is a need to reschedule an appointment, please do so up to 48-hrs in advance.
